Never take a stance even slightly in favor of the Malibu Maxx
Have my Malibu as retribution

The Maxx is no more offensive than any other car of the period. A decent rental, and I know one guy who has one that loves it.

They’re wrong -decent cars. 04 sedan V6. My largest expense - tires. 0 major mechanicals (besides the front cat it needed many mi ago, damn CEL) and 242k+. Would cross country it today without thinking twice.

Hey now, I have reason to believe the 2008 (Mine) though 2011 generation is the best made. 3.6 V6, ages nicely IMO, good option selection. Now if they would have made a Maxx of my generation....

I dunno man. I think the 1968-72 were really the best. With 1970 being peak.

Have you ever looked in the backseat of one? I did once and did a double take. The rear seats are mounted on rails to take advantage of that extra roofline, they can be slid back to have as much leg room as the front!

3.9L.
Only 240 HP, but an equal torque number. They were reasonably quick, but mostly the torque made it feel like you were doing a million. Handling was great, engine was great, seats were great, the tranny sucked and the interior trim was often loose at best.

I always rip on the older Malibus. And antagonize the malibu trithers kn the fp. Newer ones are fine, just meh. Really want to try the newest ones out.
